The second annual Golden Graduates’ Reunion was held on Saturday 11 October 2014. We welcomed over 140 guests back to campus for the dinner at Bruce Hall, as well as other events including cultural walking tours of ANU, exhibitions and celebrations including a Toad Hall 40th anniversary morning tea.
The beautiful spring afternoon, accompanied by pre-dinner drinks and canapés, served as the perfect welcome for guests who were reunited with friends and current ANU staff. Conversations flowed freely, with the Bruce Hall gardens serving as the backdrop to catch-ups and reminiscing before guests were ushered in for dinner.
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Young AO opened the dinner by welcoming everyone and acknowledging the importance of the Golden Graduates to the ANU community. Alumna Robyn Elliot (AsocDipArt 1994), owner of Successful Sabayon and creator of the University’s own tea brand, and alumnus Clive Scollay (BA 1969), Director or the Maruku Arts Centre in Alice Springs, delivered wonderful and inspiring keynote speeches.
Overall, it was a memorable evening and we look forward to next year’s reunion. We hope you can join a wonderful weekend or a day of reunion activities on 9, 10 & 11 October 2015.
