It was a trip down memory lane for nearly 200 alumni aged 60+ who gathered at University House for the inaugural Golden Graduates’ Reunion on Saturday 12 October 2013.
The gorgeous spring weather and quadrangle gardens were the perfect setting for morning tea, with guests reuniting with old friends, wandering through an exhibition of memorabilia, assisting to reconnect alumni the University has lost contact with and telling their stories to the Canberra Centenary Diaspora film crew.
During the lunch ‘Past, Present and Future’, guests were welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor and treated to an entertaining and thought-provoking key-note speech by alumnus Jack Waterford, Editor-at-Large of The Canberra Times. Guests also heard from an impressive alumna Helen Zang, who is a member of the ANU Young Alumni Council.
