Creative alumni minds coordinate Canberra writer’s festival

11 February 2015

A number of ANU alumni are running Noted, a Canberra-based experimental and emerging writer’s festival. Set to run from 20-22 of March, Noted will be run in partnership with the You Are Here Festival – a showcase of the best of Canberra’s diverse independent and experimental arts and culture.

Part of the creative team behind this inaugural event are a number of alumni from the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences. Farz Edraki (BA '13, LLB '13), Chiara Grassia (BA '12), Yasmin Masri (Bachelor of Design Arts '12), Ashley Thompson (BA '11), Zoya Patel (BA '11) form part of the brains trust of the festival.

As creative minds themselves, they designed Noted to provide a showcase and celebrate Canberra writers and performers, challenge existing models for writers’ festivals, foster a creative and inclusive space for ideas between artists and their audiences, and to create opportunities for local artists to explore experimental approaches to their work.
