ANU graduates have been rated as the most employable in Australia and among the best in the world.
The latest global Employability Survey ranked ANU at 23 in the world, and the top Australian university for the second year running.
ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Young AO said the rankings reflected the quality of the University’s graduates and the global reputation of the University.
“Rankings are imperfect measures, but doing well in this survey each year shows there is something special about ANU graduates and their attractiveness to employers,” Professor Young said.
“This speaks for the quality of ANU graduates, and the campus experience.
“ANU students have a global outlook and increasingly an international experience as part of their education, which prepares them well for their careers.
“The ANU campus is also unique. A larger proportion of students live on campus at ANU than at any other university. That experience is vibrant and exposes students to a range of ideas from Australia and abroad.
“The international reputation of the University is also reflected in those rankings.”
The survey was conducted by Paris-based human resources consultants Emerging and German polling institute Trendence, and was based on interviews with 4,500 recruiters from 20 countries.
