Head of eXellerator Lab and Member of SC Ventures, Standard Chartered Bank
Liam Gilligan heads eXellerator, Standard Chartered Bank's innovation lab setup to accelerate development of customer centric solutions. He is also a member of SC Ventures, a business unit in Standard Chartered created to promote innovation, invest in disruptive financial technology and explore alternative business models. Liam is an experienced business innovator, with 15 years' experience across both start-up and large corporates in innovation, product development, business development, strategy, and human centred design. Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank, Liam ran the Innovation Lab for Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Hong Kong.
Liam is the co-chair of the Innovation and Design Committee of the Hong Kong Fintech Association. He graduated from ANU with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Information Technology in 2006.
Moderator - Andy Wong
Head of Legal and Compliance Asia, PrimeCredit
Based in Hong Kong, Andy Wong is currently the Head of Legal & Compliance for PrimeCredit Limited. He is also the co-chair of the payments committee of the Fintech Association of HK, involved in several industry initiatives with Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and other industry leaders.
A seasoned compliance professional working across Singapore and Hong Kong over the last 15 years in the banking and financial industry, Andy has had experience with several global listed financial institutions including BNP Paribas and Global Payments. He last led the compliance programme in Asia for InstaReM across various jurisdictions. He has held positions in leading licensing processes for a payments processing company in Hong Kong and also in assisting with the licensing process for a wholesale banking licensee in Singapore. Andy graduated from ANU with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2004.
