Mr Scott Pearsall
Scott Pearsall commenced as Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor (International & Future Students) in September 2024. This role will help guide the strategic direction of our institution so that it aligns with recruitment and diversity goals for both domestic and international students. The role facilitates participation in global exchange programs and establishes strategic international education partnerships for the University. They also lead the University’s international activities on behalf of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
The PVC IFS will be responsible for providing high-level strategic advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and portfolio on implementing Commonwealth government policies related to the managed growth of international and domestic student cohorts.
They will collaborate closely with the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer to advance the University’s global engagement initiatives, as well as engaging with other key stakeholders across the University to ensure a thorough knowledge of what ANU offers the global student marketplace.
Scott Pearsall joined ANU in 2021 as University Registrar, leading the Division of Student Administration and Academic Services. He previously taught at the ANU Law School from 2012. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Economics from ANU.
Scott has over two decades of leadership experience in higher education and Australian schools and is an experienced lawyer specializing in tertiary sector law, administrative law, criminal law, and migration law.
