Ms Julie Steiner AM

Julie Steiner AM is a Managing Director in the Sydney office of Odgers Berndtson where she heads the Education, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Government, Travel & Leisure and Not for Profit practices. She also works with the boards of ASX listed companies to appoint Chairpersons and non-executive directors. Her assignments include Vice-Chancellors, CEOs, and Group Executives.

She was a founding Director of Braithwaite Steiner Pretty (BSP), a search firm that achieved sector leadership across the Technology and Public sector areas. Prior to establishing BSP she worked in the public and private sectors as General Manager of ABC Enterprises for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and CEO of IMAX Australia.

Her early career was in publishing with Macmillan and Penguin Books. She has also been a broadcaster with the ABC and has sat on a number of Boards.

Julie has an honours degree in English Literature and Politics from the University of Melbourne.

In 2020 Julie became a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) - For significant service to business through a range of roles.
