Mark Ridley is an independent director and executive adviser. He is currently the chairman of the audit committee for the Department of Human Services, Department of Home Affairs, the Clean Energy Regulator and the Royal Australian Mint; the Chair of the Australia Financial Security Authority audit committee and a member of the audit committees for the National Health Funding Body and ACT Education.
He was previously a senior partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he concluded 20 years as a partner in June 2011. In his last four years he led PwC's risk management and assurance business in Canberra through a series of high-profile projects and substantial growth. Prior to that, he was a leading partner in PwC's financial services business assurance practice in Melbourne, where he worked with major banking, insurance and investment management institutions. He was also the national leader of PwC's project assurance services and has advised many organisations in the management of risk in complex ICT environments. Mark held various business and people leadership roles within PwC and has been a mentor and coach to many new partners and future leaders. He continues to use this leadership experience to provide mentoring and coaching support to senior executives.
