Mr Marc Haynes

Marc is inspired by a familiar quote that ruminates on service as the payment made for unique life experiences. Often mistaken as American, Marc was born and rasied in Guyana, the only English speaking country in South America. As an international student, Marc completed undergraduate degrees in the USA in Accounting and Management, became a CPA and practiced in compliance and financial auditing, later co-owning and managing an industrial design firm.

Serivce was always important to Marc's life and he demonstrated this as President of the NYS CPA Candidates Association, and as a board member of several non-profit entities. Marc earned Masters Degrees in Public Adminstration and Education from Columbia Univeristy and City College NY, respectively. His career continued as a public school teacher, special education coordinator and in senior management roles in the office of Global Programs and Columbia Health at Columbia University. Upon relocating to Australia in 2012, Marc acquired significant expertise in research administration, is now a Senior Finance Manager at the ANU, teaches at CIT and mentors CBE students.

Marc is charasmatic, optimistic and desires to contribute his exceptional experiences to the Academic Board's efforts to maintain the ANU's highest standards in teaching, scholarship and research.
