Out of this world: Undergraduate Astrophysics at ANU

Presented by ANU College of Science

Have you ever stared into the night sky and wondered what lies out there?

Are you curious about how stars live and die, what happens when galaxies collide, or what are the large scale forces that drive the accelerating expansion of the universe?

Ground breaking research by astronomers at ANU aims to answer these questions and many more. In this presentation, I will outline some of the opportunities ANU provides its undergraduate students to be directly involved in exciting research (through winter school programs, summer research scholarships, Honours and Masters degrees) and explain how access to these unique programs places ANU graduates in an extremely competitive position for international postgraduate programs.
