Language, culture and calligraphy in the Ger

Presented by ANU College of Asia & the Pacific

Join us for interactive workshops in the Mongolian Ger.

The ANU Language Diversity group will be running workshops in the Ger including hands-on Sanskrit chanting, Mongolian calligraphy, burmese language workshop and Indonesian Zumba. You will also have the opportunity to hear from current students about their language studies highlights. Make sure to immerse yourself in this rare cultural treasure.

The Mongolian Ger, also known as a yurt, is a tent structure held together by ropes and cow hides and is used for shelter by the nomadic tribes in Central Asia. The Ger was special a gift from His Excellency Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia to support the Mongolia Institute at the ANU College of Asia & the Pacific.
