Thank you for coming to ANU Open Day. We loved meeting you and showing you around our beautiful campus.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and that you found it valuable in making decisions about studying at ANU.
If you missed it (silly!) or you still have questions, don't worry. We've pulled together some common questions and answers below to help you find out everything you need to know about ANU.
Things people like to ask us
I missed ANU Open Day. Can I come and visit at another time?
Sure you can. Book in for a personalised Campus Tour. We'll also be attending schools and tertiary expos around Australia from now until the end of the year, so keep an eye out and check our event pages on a regular basis.
I still haven't made up my mind about studying at university. Any advice?
There are lots of universities to choose from and even more degree programs. But don't sweat it. We're available to provide advice and give you information on a broad range of factors that go into making a decision about studying at ANU. You can also find heaps of information on our website too. Here's some questions you should start with:
How do I apply for accommodation at ANU? Do I have to wait until I receive an offer to study?
You don't have to wait to receive an offer. You can apply online from 20 August 2016. Applications are obligation free but if you want to talk it over with someone, call our Accommodation team on 02 6125 1100. You can also email them at email@example.com
You should also check to see if you're eligible for the Accommodation Guarantee (that doesn't mean you don't have to apply though!)
I want to study at ANU, but I want to take a gap year before I knuckle down at uni. What should I do?
You should still apply to receive an offer. Domestic undergraduate students can defer an offer. But if you;re an international and postgraduate students you cannot defer.
I did come to Open Day and I fell in love with the ANU School of Art. I'd like to apply to study there. Will I need to submit a portfolio?
We love the ANU School of Art too. ALL study programs at ANU have entry criteria so make sure you check the current and specific criteria for your chosen program. Programs at the ANU School of Art may require you to submit a portfolio and attend an interview too.
I'm sold on studying a Flexible Double Degree but I'm finding it hard to decide which degrees to combine?
With over 750 possible degree combinations, there's certainly plenty to choose from! Think about your passions, interests and career aspirations and go from there. Some students discover new interests once they've spent some time at uni. If you find you're not enjoying one of your degree programs or discover another area of enquiry that you'd like to explore more, you can apply for a degree transfer.
I have even more questions! Who can I ask?
Us of course. Give us a call on 1800 620 032 or send us an enquiry.
