Domestic applications - ANU Undergraduate

Ready to begin your undergraduate studies at ANU?

Tick your application off your list so it's one less thing you need to think about.There are different ways to apply to ANU, the best way for you to apply depends on your circumstances.

Two ways to apply to ANU

1. Apply direct to ANU - if you are a school leaver

You are an Australian school leaver if:

  • You will complete your Year 12 studies in 2019 or an International Baccalaureate Diploma in November 2019.
  • Your Year 12 studies or International Baccalaureate Diploma will be completed in Australia.
  • You'll be applying for an undergraduate program that starts in 2020.

By applying directly to ANU, you'll get an early conditional offer. This will allow you to focus on what's really important - completing your final year.

What you need to know:

  • Applications open 4 March 2019 and close 31 May 2019
  • There is no application fee
  • You will be required to meet the co-curricular or service requirement
  • You will apply for admission, guaranteed accommodation, and over 200 scholarships all in one application

School-leavers who miss the application deadline can apply through UAC, subject to ANU program availability.

2. Apply through UAC - if you are a non-school leaver

You should apply to UAC if you are:

  • Transferring to ANU from another tertiary institution
  • A mature age applicant
  • Applying to ANU after taking a gap year
  • A student who is otherwise not a school leaver

What you need to know:

  • Applications open August 2019
  • Application fees apply
  • School leavers applying to UAC will be required to meet the co-curricular or service requirement.
