Defer your postgraduate research offer

Deferring your offer means delaying the commencement of your studies in a specific program.

This occurs if you receive an offer for a particular semester or session, but wish to delay the commencement of your program until a later semester or session.

If you were approved for a deferment, you will have received a new offer indicating the revised commencement semester or session.

When returning from a deferment, you will need to accept your new offer and follow the normal procedure for enrolling in your program for the first time.

It’s important you accept your offer by the relevant deadline as late acceptance may forfeit your place in the program.
