You will be a postgraduate student in 2019 and have a passion to make a difference

Do you have the passion and drive to shape the nation's future, through technology and innovation; strengthen ties with Asia; or enabling positive social change? Be supported with up to $120,000 over 2-3 years during your research or graduate coursework studies.

Are you an early career researcher focused on ground-breaking research in technology and innovation; strengthening ties with Asia; or enabling positive social change? Be supported with a minimum $400,000 over three years, supplemented by your Research Area.

The Westpac Research Fellowship covers full-time salary plus professional development and global experiences. Please contact your Research Management Office for more details.

Westpac Future Leader Scholar Alex Schumann-Gillett has a goal for a better Australia

Alex is in her third year of her computational chemistry PhD at ANU. Her research focuses on how proteins in our bodies interact with cell membranes, and looking at how this affects disease.

Westpac Research Fellow Associate Professor Antonio Tricoli is looking to prevent fatal melanomas

Receiving a 2016 Westpac Research Fellowship has enabled Antonio to work on developing low-cost, wearable technology to enable Australians to easily monitor UV light exposure and prevent potentially fatal melanomas. "My research is at the forefront of using wearable nanosensors for melanoma prevention, leading the way for other countries which have not begun research in this area to develop innovative and vital solutions to skin protection from UV light".
