Eligibility

The scholarship shall be available for award each year to students who:

  • have been successful in gaining entry into the Honours year of a program of study through the School of Sociology;
  • have an excellent academic record;
  • are intending to undertake research in areas pertaining to sociology of safety;
  • have willing and suitable supervision;
  • hold Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency.

Selection basis

The Scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:

  • candidate’s academic record
  • relevance of candidate’s research proposal;
  • availability of suitable supervision

How to apply

Application is via a one page application to the Program Leader for Energy Pipelines Cooperative Research Centre Research Program 4.  The application is required to describe the research topic and its relevance to public safety and security of supply of natural gas pipelines, their motivation for undertaking research on this topic, and the difference that award of the scholarship will make to their research plans.
