ANU College of Business & Economics Undergraduate Scholarship for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders

Overview

The ANU College of Business & Economics may award a cholarship to a student from an indigenous community who is applying for dmission to an undergraduate degree program offered by the College.  The Scholarship aims to offset some of the financial burden of the first year of study at University.

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration an applicant must:

  • provide proof of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent;
  • identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted as such by the community/ies in which s/he has been or with which s/he is associated;
  • be successful, or will be successful, in receiving an offer of admission into the first year of an undergraduate program offered by the ANU College of Business & Economics;
  • not be receiving advanced standing/credit for first year courses; and
  • enrol either full-time or part-time in an undergraduate single or double degree offered by the College of Business & Economics.

Benefits

The scholarship is valued at $5,000 which will be paid in two equal instalments in the first year of the student's program.

How to apply

Students should apply via the on-line application form.  Applications will open on 1 October in the year prior and close 1 March in the following year

Further information

The Scholarship will generally only be offered to students commencing in first semester.
