Sue Stocklmayer Prize for Science Communication Major

Each year the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science may offer one prize known as the Sue Stocklmayer Prize for Science Communication Major.

Overview

The objective of the prize is to recognise excellence in science communication studies by a student who has completed a Major in the area of Science Communication. The prize honours Sue Stocklmayer, who was the Director of the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science from 1998 to 2015, and who became the first Professor of Science Communication in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the first in the world.

Funding for this prize has been provided by donors to the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science Endowment, which was established in 2013.
