Dr Philip Hope


Dr Hope has been working at ANU Health Service since 2006. Special interests include general medicine, mental health and travel medicine.

Dr Lincoln Ratnasingham

MBBS (Sri Lanka), LRCP, MRCS (UK)

Dr Lincoln Ratnasingham has been practising at ANU Health Service since 2007, before which time he was running a practice in the community for nearly 20 years as a solo practitioner. He has many years of experience having worked in general practice and hospitals in Sri Lanka, the UK and Australia since. He speaks Tamil and Sinhalese and his interests are general medicine, men's health and holistic health care.

He is available on Thursdays..


Dr Shevanthi Ratnasingham

MBBS (Sri Lanka), LRCP, MRCS (UK)

Dr Shevanthi Ratnasingham qualified in Sri Lanka, and since then has worked in the United Kingdom and Australia. Her special interests include: adolescent health, antenatal care, pediatrics, hypertension, diabetes, endocrine diseases, mental health, family planning and travel medicine.

She is available on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.


Dr Michael Tedeschi

MBBS (UniNSW), FAChAM (RACP), FRACGP, Dip FM,Cert Health Economics (UniMonash)

Dr Tedeschi graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1979. He then came straight to Canberra to commence an internship and stayed there for a further three years before entering general practice. He obtained the Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners in 1984, then returned to the Hospital to complete specialist training, and now works as a Senior Specialist at Canberra Hospital when he is not at the ANU Health Service. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the ANU Medical School. He has been at the ANU Health Service since 1998 and his special interest is in drug and alcohol problems.

He is available on Monday and Tuesday mornings, and Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.




Lisa O'Connor

Lisa is a Registered Psychologist. She has completed postgraduate studies in both Australia and the UK including an MSc in Organizational Psychology. She is currently engaged in further Postgraduate Psychological training in Gender and Sexual Diversities. Lisa has worked for the past nine years as a Crisis Counselor and for the past four years in both private practice and the rehabilitation sector to provide evidence based interventions, treatment, psychological assessments, EAP and related rehabilitation services across the public and private sectors.

Lisa's clinical experience and interest is focused on organizational matters including manager support for mental health related concerns, the treatment of Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Minority Stress due to Diversity in Sexuality, Gender and Cultural factors, Pain management, Workplace Injuries and Bullying and Harassment Issues.

Lisa draws from evidence based methods from Neuroscientific, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to inform her therapeutic style.

A Mental Health Care Plan is required by a doctor to iniate appointments with Lisa.  She is avaialable Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.


Nurse Practitioner


Chris Helms

Chris commenced his employment with the National Health Co-op as a Nurse Practitioner in 2011.  He immigrated to Australia in 2007, following extensive training and work experience in Primary Healthcare at the University of Wisconsin and Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the USA.

Prior to joining the National Health Co-op, Chris practiced as a Nurse Practitioner at the ACT Health Walk-in Centre.

Chris obtained his Nurse Practitioner degrees in Adult and Geriatric Primary Healthcare from the University of Wisconsin, USA.  He recently completed his PhD in Nursing.





Annie Byrne

Senior RN

Annie has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. The last 12 years have been in rural and remote areas. Annie is currently the Health Promotions Nurse and is completing a course in Nutrition to further her knowledge and avid interest in this area. She is also a qualified women's health nurse.
