Whether you are an international student, from Australia or a Canberra local, attendance at Orientation week (O-week) from Monday 17 July 2017 is designed to help you succeed in the early stages of your program. Attending O-week will help you meet other new students, familiarise yourself with the campus and prepare for study. You will receive important information about your academic college, support services, visa requirements, program and course advice, academic skills development, staying healthy, and making the most of student life. If you are an international student you’ll also need to open an Australian bank account, familiarise yourself with the health care system and organise everything you need to make your new accommodation feel like home. It's important to arrive before O-week and give yourself enough time to do all this.
A registration will open at the end of June for the formal ANU welcome and information session on Monday 17 July. Events will be added to this page as confirmed, so check back and add events to your calendar. You can also ask questions of current ANU students on the New at ANU Facebook 2017 group. Or email us.
O-week Market Day will be held in Week 1 and is organised by the ANU Students Association (ANUSA). Please contact the ANUSA O-week Directors for information and to register for a stall.
