The College of Business and Economics is offering an in-country intensive course, CBEA3066, which includes a faculty-led 10 day study tour to St. Petersburg, Russia during the winter break in July 2018 (summer in Russia).
The Russian study tour, facilitated in partnership with St. Petersburg State University, will include diverse elements comprising prominent lectures from academics on past and present Russian economy, politics and business; guest lectures from Russian business leaders and innovative start-up business owners; and cultural visits to world treasures such as the Hermitage, Peterhof Palace and Mariinsky Theater that will enrich students' understanding of the fundamentals of Russian values. The tour will also feature field trips to family-based, state-owned, and joint-venture companies, including both 'Soviet' and modern Russian corporate environments. Participants will gain insights into the question of 'What is Russia?' from panel discussions and debates with Russian business leaders and academics.
This course is open to all undergraduate students of the ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE), with preference given to CBE students who have completed at least 96 units of their program at the time of applying. The course counts towards an elective in any CBE undergraduate program and towards the International Business, Management and Marketing majors. Students from other ANU Colleges will need to seek enrolment approval and program advice from their respective Colleges.
All students are required to provide evidence to CBE Mobility that they have sufficient space in their program to participate in the Global Business Immersion (CBEA3066) course, before their application can be considered.
