- Charles Hawker Scholarships
- ANU is one of very few Universities which Charles Hawker Scholars are able to attend. It is Australia's most financially rewarding privately funded Scholarship. It is available to under graduate and post graduate students.

- R G Menzies Scholarship to Havard
- The Robert Gordon Menzies Scholarship to Harvard is Australia's most prestigious national award for postgraduate study in the United States. The Scholarship is jointly sponsored by the Harvard Club of Australia, the Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Foundation and the The Australian National University and grants one annual award to an Australian graduate who has gained admission to a Harvard graduate school.
- Rhodes Scholarships to Oxford
- The Rhodes Trust offers nine Rhodes Scholarships in Australia each year, one for each State and three for Australia at Large. All fees are paid by the Trust direct to the Scholar's College at Oxford. A Rhodes Scholar also receives a personal stipend and assistance with travelling expenses to the United Kingdom.

- The Fund selects up to five young Australians each year to study at Oxford University.
- Frank Knox Memorial Fellowships
- For two Australians who are recent graduates or who are about to graduate
to study at Harvard University.
- Cambridge Australia Trust
- The Cambridge Australia Trust exists to send outstanding Australian students to Cambridge University

- The General Sir John Monash Awards
- Annually, up to eight Awards will be awarded to outstanding Australians graduating from Australian Universities to enable them to study abroad at the worlds' best Universities, appropriate to their field of study.
