About Student 21
Student 21 is the database the stores all student information, including
contact, enrolment and results details. The database also holds details
of the programs and courses offered by the University. The software
that is used to drive Student 21 is called PeopleSoft. Student 21 is
one of the major Peoplesoft databases used at the ANU for administrative
records. The other major databases are for human resources and financial
information.
How is Student 21 used?
Student 21 is maintained centrally by Student
Business Solutions (SBS), an area within Student and Academic Services.
SBS updates and maintains the database, ensuring that it is working
correctly, and is also responsible for entering in details of new courses
and programs and amendments to existing courses and programs. Other
areas within SAS search Student 21 to compile various reports, such
as fee or graduation information.
Administrative staff across the University may access Student 21 to
search for student records, course, class or program information, enter
assessment results, admit and enrol students.
Students are able to update their enrolment and contact details stored
on Student 21 by using ISIS .
