ANU Medical School3. Program Transfers

3.3 Medical School

Transferring into the medical school from another ANU degree is not allowed. All applicants for the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program must apply by following the instructions found on the ANU Medical School Admissions website.

International and domestic students may only request a transfer into the ANU Medical School if they are currently enrolled in a medical degree either in Australia or overseas.

The request for a transfer will only be considered where exceptional personal circumstances mean that continuation of study at the medical school in which the student is currently enrolled is extremely difficult.

Further details regarding the ANU Medical School Transfer policy can be found on the ANU Medical School Admission website.

Students enrolled in the Medical School who are not able to complete a clinical placement as a result of not meeting the requirements of a health facility, or as a result of a criminal history check, may not be able to complete their program. These students may be eligible to transfer to other University programs, subject to application deadlines and approval.

See the ANU Medical School website for the Infectious Diseases and Immunisation Policy and Criminal History Check Policy.
