3. Program Transfers3.2 Effect on Program/Course Changes Transferring your program, adding or dropping courses, or failing to apply for Credit (Status) at the time of applying for a program transfer may all affect your program intensity/study load at any given time and therefore your eligibility to receive Austudy/Youth Allowance or other Centrelink payments. Students should be aware that granted Credit (Status) will not be removed from their academic record because of Youth Allowance/HECS-HELP implications. For international students, it is a condition of your student visa that you remain enrolled as a full-time student. The University must advise the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) if a student changes their enrolment and does not meet this condition without permission. If there is a reason why you cannot maintain full-time enrolment you must contact the Office of Policy and regulation to seek permission. International and domestic fee paying students are reminded that if they change programs they will be liable for the fees for all courses in the new program based on the fee structure for the year in which the transfer is to take effect. In many cases this will mean an increase in fees. For more details regarding fee structures see the Fees website. |
