2. Enrolment2.2 Continuing Students Commonwealth Supported Places
Continuing/Re-enrolling Students All students continuing their current program are required to register courses for 2009 on ISIS. Currently enrolled students and students on approved program leave or approved cross-institutional study in Semester 2 2008 must enrol on ISIS by 30 January 2009. Students intending to study for the whole of 2009 must register courses for both semesters by 30 January 2009. Continuing students enrolling in Semester 2 only must enrol by 26 June. Continuing students who do not re-enrol by the appropriate deadline will be required to pay a late enrolment fee of $125 before being able to register re-enrolment. Students applying to transfer to another ANU program in 2009 should check the Program Transfer section of this Guide for more information. Students seeking to retain a place in their program and take leave of absence should refer to the Program Leave section of this Guide. Special/Supplementary Examinations Students granted special or supplementary examinations must also re-enrol by the due date 30 January 2009. Course choices may be amended later if necessary. Students returning from approved Program Leave are only considered to be enrolled upon completion of the following:
Failure to Re-Enrol Students who fail to re-enrol or who have no formal approval for a period of leave will lose their place in the program. Students who have lost their place in their program and wish to return must apply for re-admission by the relevant deadline. Students who re-apply for a lost place will not normally be regarded as pre-2005 students for Commonwealth assistance. Application for admission to a program will be considered in competition with all other applications on the basis of current admission criteria. Semester 2 Only Enrolment Students re-enrolling in Semester 2 courses only for 2009 must apply for program leave for Semester 1 2009 and re-enrol on ISIS website by 26 June 2009. Planning your Program and Academic Advice Colleges provide advisory sessions at the beginning of each semester for undergraduate students. You should take advantage of these sessions to ensure you are familiar with your program requirements. Times will be advertised in College Offices, on ISIS and on University noticeboards. For continuing graduate students there are no formal advisory sessions. However, if you need assistance or advice concerning your program or study for the next academic year you should contact the relevant Delegated Authority. In many instances a College administrator may be able to assist you without reference to a Subdean or Convenor. You are reminded that your enrolment and adherence to program requirements are your responsibilities. In particular, you are reminded that if you have permission from a Course Authority/lecturer to undertake courses outside the Program/Course Requirements, the approval from the Delegated Authority should be in writing. You will also need a permission code to add a course to your enrolment if you do not meet the normal requisites.
