2.14 Cross-Institutional Study

ANU Students Studying at Another University

If you are NOT enrolling at ANU in 2009 but are seeking permission to undertake studies at another Australian tertiary institution to count towards your program you must seek written permission from the appropriate Delegated Authority. You do not need to register ANU enrolment for 2009.

However, you must complete an Application to Study Elsewhere on a Cross-Institutional Basis form and ensure on ISIS that the University has a current mailing address for you to receive relevant University correspondence during your period of absence.

If the courses you are studying elsewhere will complete your ANU program requirements, you should indicate this to the Delegated Authority at the time you lodge your form. See Section 7.6 for graduation information.

Concurrent Study at ANU and Another University

If you are continuing your studies at ANU in 2009 and wish to undertake concurrent studies towards your program at another institution, you must seek written permission from the appropriate Delegated Authority. A copy of the Delegated Authority's written approval to undertake the concurrent studies MUST be completed on the Application to Study Elsewhere on a Cross-Institutional Basis form and be submitted to your College advising you have registered your 2009 enrolment via ISIS. You must also ensure that you have completed the formal application/enrolment requirements of the institution where you will be studying. Approval by an academic department alone does not usually constitute enrolment.

Students from Another University Studying at ANU

Course selections can be made by visiting the Study@ANU website.

Undergraduate students from another University who wish to study cross institutionally at ANU must apply using the Application for Non-Award Enrolment: Undergraduate Cross-Institutional Students form.

Graduate students from another University who wish to study cross institutionally at ANU must apply using the Application for Non-Award Enrolment: Graduates form.
