2. Enrolment

2.11 Program Intensity

The University distinguishes between full-time and part-time intensity on the basis of EFTSL (effective full time student load). A student enrolled in courses for a semester (or half of the year) where the cumulative study load for the courses is .375 EFTSL (18 units) or greater is deemed to be a full-time student. Check ISIS to confirm your current student load.

Adding and/or dropping courses may change your program intensity and affect your Student Learning Entitlement (SLE) and eligibility for entitlements such as Austudy.

International Students

International students must remain enrolled at 100% study load for their program. For most programs this equates to 24 units per semester (or half of the year). International students who wish to deviate from this requirement are required to speak to an officer from the Office of Policy and Regulation (OPAR). Further information is available at the International Student Services website on Study Load.
