Undergraduate Scholarships for Honours Students

Unless otherwise specified these Scholarships are available to students of the Australian National University only. For further information on any of the following please contact the Prizes and Undergraduate Scholarships Office on (02) 6125 5595 or email ug.schols@anu.edu.au

A Scholarship is awarded on the basis of past achievement with the expectation of future achievement. You must apply for a Scholarship.

ARC Centre of Excellence in Vision Science Honours Scholarships

The ANU node of the Centre will be giving 2-3 scholarships to Honours students.

The student must be enrolled in an Honours Program at the ANU, supervised by one of the Centre's Chief Investigators, working on a Centre related research project and must not be a recipient of any other Honours scholarship. ARC Centre website: http://vision.anu.edu.au/

Students are encouraged to discuss research opportunities with relevant Chief Investigators at the Centre.

All applications should be submitted to the Chief Operations Officer of the Centre through the proposed supervisor (a Chief Investigator in the Centre).

The application should contain: a recent CV, 200 words research proposal, copies of transcripts and two referee reports.

Students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible but not later than 30 November for Semester One start in the following year.

AusIMM Education Endowment Scholarship (Honours)

Awarded to students who achieve superior academic excellence, outstanding leadership qualities and a demonstrated commitment to the minerals industry. Scholarships are valued at $7000 per year over two years and area supported by a variety of leading mining companies.

AusIMM South Africa-Australia Minerals Scholarship

The AusIMM South Africa-Australia Minerals Scholarship offers $5,000 to support field work and professional and academic development related travel to universities and minerals professionals for Honours projects in Southern Africa.

Australia-Britain Society (ACT) Honours Scholarship One scholarship of $1000 for Honours in the field of British History broadly conceived. The History Program will make a recommendation based on academic merit and a relevant thesis topic.
There is no application process.

Bok Honours Year Scholarship in Astrophysics The Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics supports a scholarship for a student in the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Astrophysics. College of Engineering and Computer Science International Postgraduate Honours Scholarship

There shall be up to 5 scholarships available to international students who achieve excellent results in an approved ANU or other Masters by Coursework degree and subsequently enrol in a Masters (Honours) by Coursework program, offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Science.

The scholarships are offered on the basis of offer of a place in the Masters Honours by Coursework Degree program offered by the College.

Eligible students will be automatically considered for the scholarship on academic merit. There is no application process.

Computer Science Research Project Honours Year Scholarship Scholarships of $5000 for applicants enrolled in the Year 4 of Software Engineering or the Honours Year of Information Technology or Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science.

CSIRO ICT Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) Scholarship

A scholarship valued at $5,000pa is available to a student enrolling full-time in the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) program, payab;e each year for the duration of the program.

Eligible applicants shall normally be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Assessment will be made as part of the admission process and an applicant's academic achievement in their final year of studies at High School/College.

CSIRO ICT Honours Scholarship

A number of scholarships are available to students undertaking the final year of an Honours level undergraduate degree in the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science, who are undertaking a project relevant to research of CSIRO, ICT.

Curly Humphreys Scholarship for Forestry

The generous support from Curly Humphreys and Hazel Cutlack assists an Honours student to work in the broad area of forest operations. Eligible applicants shall be those students who are currently enrolled or have been enrolled at this University or another tertiary institution in a program of study leading to the award of the degree of Bachelor with a strong undergraduate academic record with majors appropriate to undertaking Honours in Forestry.
