Eligibility:

Must be an ANU student studying language at an intermediate/advanced (or equivalent) level within their undergraduate program;

Must study full-time overseas

in a language course conducted off-shore by ANU and approved for credit towards their ANU degree; or

Must study full-time overseas in a language course offered by an approved international higher education provider and approved for credit towards their ANU degree; or

Must study full-time overseas in a program of study offered by an approved international higher education provider, delivered in a foreign language and approved for credit towards their ANU degree.

Open to both Australian and international students, however, international students may not use the scholarship for study in their country of birth or citizenship.

Selection based on:

Academic merit, as evidenced in grades achieved in prior language study at ANU;

Student motivation;

Financial need; and

Access and equity consideration.

Conditions of Award

Upon completion of the language study program and return to ANU, the scholarship holder must provide:

a short report (500-1000 words) on the study experience; and

an official transcript from the participating institution providing evidence that the approved program of study was completed.

Application:
A one page personal statement to the Selection Committee detailing motivation and financial need for the Scholarship.
