The arrangement between the ANU and CSC involves two independent but related processes. The first is Application for Admission to the ANU for study. The second is the CSC Scholarship Application which is dependent upon admission to the ANU.
Your CSC application will not be considered without an offer of admission from the ANU.
Key Dates for commencement:
The ANU must recieve the full application (including English Language results) by 30 November (of the year preceding studies)
The offer of Admission only from ANU to student by 1 March
CSC receives full application (including offer of admission from ANU) by 20 March. More information may be available on the CSC Website
Offer of scholarship from CSC in June/July (commence visa application process immediately)
Student arrives at ANU and commences the PhD between October and March.
To determine if the ANU is able to offer you a place, you should follow the process outlined here
Notes:
- The ANU prefers online applications
- Ensure that CSC Scholarship is noted in the 'Other Scholarship' section on page 1 of the form
- Before submitting the application, arrange for your referees to complete the required information and submit it direct to the University
- Indicate on your application your proposed supervisor or the Convernor who has supported your application
- ANU-CSC Applicants must meet the ANU's English Language Requirements
- An offer of admission to the ANU does not mean that applicants have been successful in obtaining a CSC Scholarship, merely that they have been assessed as suitable for the admission contingent of funding being made available
- If a student is offered admission to the ANU they must follow the instructions as set out in their offer letter even though they will not know the outcome of their CSC scholarship application. ANU offers are time limited and must be replied to by the deadline date set out in the offer letter otherwise the offer will lapse
