Payment methods
Preferred Methods
The following are the university's preferred methods for paying fees
- Credit card payments can be made through your ISIS account using your Visa or Master Card. Please note we do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards. When you log into ISIS you will need to select the Account Details menu and then "Make a Payment". Once you have entered this panel you will need to scroll down and click on the "Dialect" icon. Once your transaction is successfully completed you will receive a payment receipt number.
Please note this number as it is your official receipt number. Credit card numbers are not stored in the University system.
- For payments coming from overseas bank accounts you can now use Travelex Pay24-7. This option is similar to a Telegraphic Transfer however it reduces the amount of time taken for the payment to be identified and credited to your student account. Please click here for more information.
Alternative Methods
- Credit card details can be faxed, posted or scanned and emailed using our payment slip. The postal address and fax number for Student Administration appears on this payment slip. If you opt to scan and email your credit card details these can be sent to payments.officer@anu.edu.au. If
you elect to fax credit card details, we suggest you keep a copy of
your fax transmission record.
- Cheque/ Money Orders should be made payable
to "The Australian National University". If you are mailing
your cheque/money order we recommend you attach it to a payment slip and use express post or registered mail.
- Student
Administration is open from 9am to 5pm . Payments by credit card, debit card and cheque/money order are accepted at Student Administration from 9am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, excluding public
holidays. The University does not accept payments in cash for security and legislative
reasons.
Which ever method you elect to use to pay your fees it is your responsibility to ensure that your payment is received by the due date. Please click here for more information on how to check your account.

Paying your Tuition Fees from Overseas
The Australian National University would like to announce that students wishing to organise payments for their tuition fees from overseas now have the preferred option of using Travelex.
It is quick; it is simple and more effective than sending a draft or using a Telegraphic Transfer. Using Travelex will reduce the time it takes for your payment to arrive in your account and therefore reducing unnecessary delays which often cause anxiety.
Please click on the link to go to the Travelex web page and follow the steps.

Checking your account
Enrolled ANU students can view their fees account through ISIS. You
can access ISIS at http://isis.anu.edu.au.
Updates to accounts can take up to 48 hours, so check your account 48
hours after making any payments or changes.
Click on the spy-glass icon in the Action column to see more detail
about account items. Positive
items on your account show fees due. Negative items on your account
show fees that have been paid.
