Are you an International student?

If you are an International student, please make sure that you contact the Office of Policy and Regulation at policy.regs@anu.edu.au or 02 6125 1436 to arrange an appointment to discuss the implications to your visa when making the following changes:

  • Reducing your study load
  • Changing Program
  • Withdrawing from your program
  • Requesting Program Leave

Adding a course

The table below shows you what you need to do to add a course. You should be careful when changing courses that you are still on track to fulfil the requirements of your program and any majors you may be undertaking. For advice on course selection, please contact your College Student Office or academic area.

Remember, if ISIS doesn't allow you to add the course, you can fill in an Enrolment Variation Form instead.

Timeframe
What you need to do to add a course

On or before 6 March (Semester 1)

On or before 31 July (Semester 2)

Add the course to your enrolment on ISIS.

7 March- 31 March (Semester 1)

1 August - 31 August (Semester 2)

Complete an Enrolment Variation form and lodge it with the College/Faculty Office that offers the course/s in which you wish to enrol. Your enrolment will only be approved if the lecturer certifies, in writing, that you have been attending classes for that semester and the Program/Delegated Authority agrees to the late enrolment.

Pay the $50.00 late fee at Student Administration Services.

Check your account on ISIS to see if you need to pay an additional amount because of your change in enrolment. Pay the amount due to Student Administration Services immediately.

After census date 31 March (Semester 1)

After census date 31 August (Semester 2)

Course additions after the census date are not permitted.
