Booklists
The booklist for each course will be available from departments and
centres around November each year, or you can search the Co-Op
Bookshop's text list.
Reading bricks
A 'reading brick' is a book of photocopied readings. Some courses use
reading bricks as a way of giving students all the required readings
for a course, without the student having to find each article or book
chapter separately or having to buy many different textbooks. You will
need to buy a copy of the reading brick for each course you are enrolled
in that uses them.
You can find out if your course has a reading brick by checking the
booklist for the course (see above.) The booklist will also tell you
where you need to go to get your reading brick - some faculties sell
their reading bricks through the Co-Op
Bookshop, off Union Court. Other faculties require you to pay Student
and Academic Services for your brick, and take your receipt back to
your Faculty Office where you will be given your brick. Student and
Academic Services will take reading brick payments in Manning Clark,
Booth 1, for the first two weeks of semester. After that, payments can
be made at the front counter of Student and Academic Services by cheque,
money order, debit or credit card during cashier
opening times.
