What do we do?

Student Administration Services (SAS) is responsible for managing and coordinating general administrative matters at the University. Some of the things that SAS looks after are:

SAS has a number of sections, responsible for the separate administrative or service activities of the division. Each area reports to the Registrar, Mr Tim Beckett. SAS is located in the portfolio of the Division of Registrar and Student Services.

The SAS administrative areas are located in the Student Exchange at 121 Marcus Clarke Street, Childers Street entrance [Map]

The Student Service areas (the Counselling Centre, Disability Services Unit, Jabal Indigenous Education Centre, University Health Centre) are separately located. See their websites for where they are on campus.

Opening hours

The Student Service counter in the Student Exchange is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Mondays to Fridays.

The Cashier is open from 9:00am to 4:00pm weekdays.

SAS is open for telephone enquiries from 9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays.

The University is closed on public holidays and over the Christmas/New Year period. (See Important dates for closing dates.) The University remains open during non-teaching and examination periods.
