Welcome to the last Research Office newsletter for October.

It was great to see many of you at our recent Research Portfolio Planning Day.  I found the chance to catch up with colleagues across campus to be very useful as I am sure you did as well.

I expect to see many of you again at the ARC/NHMRC Research Administrator's Seminar next week at the National Convention Centre.  This year's ARC program includes ERA as well as the usual sessions on grants.

My congratulations to Karen Jackson who has been awarded a Vice-Chancellor's Staff Excellence Award for Innovation and Excellence in Service Quality reflecting her work as part of the Office of Commercialisation.
