From the Director of the ROWelcome to the third issue of the Research
Office e-newsletter. Hopefully you
find it useful. If there are other
items you would like to see covered in the newsletter please let me know. The Australasian
Research Management Society (ARMS) is holding its annual conference “Fusion: Collaboration with Impact” at the Adelaide Convention Centre, 19 – 21
September 2007. Elsewhere in this
newsletter are details of the DVC’s grants for College staff to attend Fusion
2007. I would urge you to attend this conference if at all possible. It provides a wonderful opportunity for you
to attend sessions on all aspects of research administration, to learn more
about our profession and to network with colleagues from other universities
and organizations who face the same issues and problems that we have to deal
with. Remember the
ANU has corporate membership of ARMS and all research management staff at ANU
are eligible to take advantage of this membership. If you haven’t already advised the RO of
your interest in being registered as part of that membership please email
Ronsley Gardner (Ronsley.Gardner@anu.edu.au). Also don’t forget next week’s ARC/NHMRC
Forum, an opportunity to learn about the details of ARC and NHMRC grants as
well as to network with research management colleagues from other
universities. |
