Application Submission Process - Overview

College/Local Business Offices
- Applications submitted by Research Office
- The Research Office is responsible for submitting all applications: for Centres (eg. Centres of Excellence); to the Australian Research Council (ARC) and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC); to schemes that limit the number of applications that can be submitted by the University; and those where the Funding Agency requires the University to rank the applications prior to submission.
- Business Office arranges for the application to be submitted to the Research Office, by the RO deadline, for submission to the relevant funding agency. Keeps a copy of the application for College/Local Area records. Sends a copy to the Research Office for University records. Ensures application is entered/updated on ARIES.
- Applications submitted by Office of Commercialisation
- All applications for CRCs (Cooperative Research Centres) are submitted by the Office of Commercialisation.
- Business Office arranges for CRC applications to be submitted to the Office of Commercialisation, for submission to the funding agency. Keeps a copy of the application for College/Local Area records. Sends a copy to the Office of Commercialisation for University records. Ensures application is entered/updated on ARIES.
- Applications submitted by College/Local Business Office
- College/Local Business Areas are responsible for submitting all other applications.
- Business Office arranges for the application to be submitted to the funding agency directly. Keeps a copy of the application for University records. Ensures application is entered/updated in ARIES.
Research Office:
For applications specified at (a): the Research Office arranges for the applications to be submitted to the funding agency directly. Keeps a copy of the application for University records.
