Funding Agency Advice, Documentation and Liaison

College/Local Business Offices provides applicants with:

The Research Office provides:

  • information, advice and updates regarding major funding schemes using the Research Support Networks and other internal networks.
  • a website with ARC and NHMRC scheme information (Funding Rules and Guidelines, Instructions to Applicants, Application forms etc) and support material (including ‘How to…’ guides and FAQ documents).
  • a liaison point for the ARC and NHMRC eg. for clarification of Funding Rules, Instructions to Applicants, Application forms, Eligibility Rulings etc and submission of applications.
  • strategic and policy advice to College/Local Business Offices on the preparation of individual and institutional funding applications to external agencies.
  • quality review functions that aim to provide feedback to research administrators to assist them in undertaking their responsibilities to the highest standard (eg. ‘Health Checks’)
  • collection, maintenance and analysis of data on the University’s research activities.
  • provision and support of research management systems (eg. ARIES).
