Local area/ College Responsibilities

• local deadlines (the OSR deadline is one week prior to the ARC deadline);
• peer review;
• submission processes
• providing strategic advice and technical checks on individual applications

Business Offices or College Research Offices answer enquiries about ARC requirements, provide strategic advice and assistance with budgets. If they are unable to answer a query they can seek advice from the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR).
The ARC insists upon a single point of contact with an institution, hence questions requiring clarification with the ARC, must be asked by the OSR.
Applications that involve a number of CIs across departments should submit their applications through the Office of the first named CI.
