The Australian Research Council's Linkage-Project scheme is a competitive scheme to fund research projects able to attract comparable support form Industry Partners (which include government agencies and private and non-profit bodies as well as private enterprise).

Researchers submitting applications for ARC Linkage Projects should seek advice on preparing applications and submission procedures from their local Business Office or College Research Office.

Business Offices or College Research Offices answer enquiries about ARC requirements, provide strategic advice and assistance with budgets. If they are unable to answer a query they can seek advice from the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR).

Applications that involve a number of Chief Investigator’s (CI’s) across departments should submit their applications through the Office of the first named CI.

Please note: The OSR will not accept drafts or applications directly from researchers. Advice on applications should be sought in the first instance from the Local Business Offices or College Research Offices.

• College Research Offices please complete the spreadsheet and return one signed copy and electronic copy to the OSR LP12 (Round 2) deadline of 5pm, Wednesday 9th November 2011.

• Please note this document lists many of the changes to the Funding Rules and some key requirements for Linkage Projects 2012 as indicated by the ARC. However this is not a definitive list. Please contact your College Research Office if you have particular questions about the Funding Rules which are not addressed here.

RO-AP1: Authority to Apply for External Funding Form (to be retained by College & uploaded to ARIES)

ANU Certification Form for LP12 (.pdf) or (.doc) (to be retained by College & uploaded to ARIES)

• Completion of this Form is required by the ANU for all LP12 Proposals to satisfy the requirements for Certification of Linkage Projects in the ARC’s Research Management System (RMS).

Template Centre Director Certification Letter (.pdf) or (.doc)

• Completion of this letter by the Centre Director is required by the ANU for all LP12 Proposals to satisfy the requirements for Certification of Discovery Projects in the ARC's Research Management System (RMS). (Please see your College Research Office if this is applicable).
