The contract and all relevant agreements are checked. This process involves a number of procedures that may include, but are not limited to:

• Negotiation and review
• Risk assessment
  
• Legal Advice
  
• Commercialisation Advice
  
• Intellectual Property
  
• Delegation and appropriate sign-off

Some of these procedures are also relevant for Consultancy applications.
