Sirtex funds research into cancer treatment at ANU

Research into localised cancer treatment will be the focus of a new industry sponsored Chair at The Australian National University (ANU).  The Chair is funded by Sydney-based global life-sciences business, Sirtex Medical Limited which makes and sells an Australian-developed targeted radiation therapy for patients with inoperable liver cancer.  The funding will enable ANU researchers to focus on biomedical technology for applications in infectious disease and liver cancer.
