Burgmann College has several staff living on site who are able to assist residents in various ways. A member of staff is on call at all times when the office is closed.

Dr James Popple
BA (Hons) LLB PhD (ANU)
James is a barrister and solicitor, and a Senior Legal Officer in the Information Law Branch of the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department. He is also a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, ANU, and the author of A Pragmatic Legal Expert System (Dartmouth, 1996).
James is responsible for the College's tutorial system, and academic matters in general.
Ms Paula Fearn BSc BEc (ANU)
Paula is principal carer for her and James's two sons: Jonathan Fearn (born 1995) and Sean Popple (born 1998).
Ms Rachel Lloyd
BEc BA (Asian Studies)(Hons) MEast Asian Studies (ANU)
Rachel is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Statistics and Econometrics in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, ANU. She teaches the first year quantitative methods and statistics units for both the economics and science students.
Rachel is responsible for allocation of rooms, academic, pastoral and administrative matters. She is the sexual harassment convenor for the College and Chief Fire Warden.
Mr Lex Weaver BSc (Hons)
Lex is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at ANU, researching in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He teaches first and third year Computer Science subjects.
Lex's responsibilities include development and support of the College's
Information Technology facilities, particularly the Computer Room, the College
network, and Internet connection.
