I launched this site in mid-February 1995, when the Web was still pretty young.

Here are the access statistics, as provided by A.N.U.'s IT Services since late 1995, for 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003 and 1995-2002.

The cumulative hit-count was scheduled to pass 25 million during 2008 – comprising about 5 million hits during the first 7 years (1995-2001), over 2 million in 2002, 2.5 million in 2003, 2.75 million in 2004, and over 3 million p.a. from 2005 onwards.

Roughly, each day sees 7-10,000 hits, resulting from 1,500-2,500 visits from people in 50-70 different countries, hitting about 600-800 separate pages.

Last time I looked (quite some time ago), it appeared that between 10,000 and 20,000 pages linked to pages on this site. That's not too bad for one person's narrowly specialised and little-advertised publications.

On the basis of a sample survey (back in September 2004), a one-month count was split about 35% to the dataveillance and privacy (DV) segment of the site, 35% to the eBusiness (EC) and information infrastructure (II) segments, 10% to other papers (SOS), 5% to central pages (home, What's New, etc.), and 15% to Waltzing Matilda (WM).

These community service pages are a joint offering of the Australian National University (which provides the infrastructure), and Roger Clarke (who provides the content).
