The author of the SVC Report, Roger Clarke, is a well-known consultant, and previously a senior academic at the Australian National University. He has published copious reports and papers on many aspects of electronic commerce, and has run comprehensive community-service pages in relation to electronic commerce and a number of other topics since the beginning of 1995.
