Thanks Jonathon, and also the Monash MOO, called EdMoo is still at:
http://edx3.educ.monash.edu.au/edmoo/ though it's quiet these days.

It's certainly true that both Telnet, and MUD/MOOs etc, are alive and well,
try telnet fibs.com:4321 for a quick match-up and game of backgammon.

PS:
Good luck with the RMIT Laser Disk. Victorian schools still use Laser Disk
technology all day every day, after four years or so with very few problems,
almost exclusively running, "SuccessMaker" as a remediation component,
simply because the technology, and the learning gains, are so dependable.
