Greetings fellow linkers,
just a quick question if I may. I subscribe to the www.fed.gov.au "push"
service (which I assume is driven by Verity's Search'97 agent server, or
something of the like). I think this is a terrific service - as do other
linkers judging by the archives.
In today's batch, I got the following item:

I signed on to the service believing that I would be receiving notification
of Federal Government press releases, departmental announcements, etc., not
blatant partisan political propaganda from press releases from the
Minister's office. Do the Federal Opposition also have the ability to
"push" their views using the services of fed.gov.au? If not, I think this
is a major oversight in policy. Either this sort of material should be
quarantined from the system, or else fairness in access (ie, all press
releases from Federal MPs, not just the Ministers' offices) should apply.
