Win98 and TV upgrades

A friend of mine who works on contract for a govt department told me
yesterday that they are investing _millions_ of dollars in Windows 98 and
new Pentium 300+MHz machines to run it.

He mentioned that Win98 has support for a cheaply and readily available TV
tuner card for PCs that allows them to receive data modulated onto
television frequencies. The idea here is that the PC receives periodic
updates of operating system software via TV. Even my Microsoft-centric
friend said, "That's scary".

I jokingly mentioned how easy it would be to destroy every PC on the
planet by distributing viruses this way. :-)

Has anyone else heard anything about this? It was news to me.
