It is in Word7 format and uses long file names. If you save the files in
Word 6 format with short file names, the links do not work (in Word 7,
that is, they would not work in Word 6 anyway)
The days of government favouring vendor independant standards are a long
time gone.
Why they choose to do it in the latest version of a proprietary product
is one of life's little mysteries.
